Age Requirement:

The minimum age for participation is 4 years old.

Children Policy:

Children up to the age of 12 must always be accompanied by at least one adult during the activity.

Booking Information:

For every booking, the primary first name, last name, and email address of the participants are required.

A phone number is recommended for last-minute changes.

Booking Deadline:

Bookings are accepted up to the previous day at 17pm.

Confirmation Process:

A confirmation email will be sent within 24 hours of payment receipt.

 

Payment Details

Deposit:

A minimum deposit of 20% is required to confirm all reservations.

Full Payment:

Full payment is required until 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Accepted Payment Methods:

We accept Bank Transfer, PayPal (available with Visa, MC, AMEX, etc.), or Cash (only at our base).

Payment Disclaimer:

We are not responsible for any surcharges resulting from third-party payment processing or currency exchange.

 

Rescheduling Policy

Rescheduling with Notice:

Rescheduling is free of charge with more than 24 hours' notice.

 

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation Timeframes:

Cancellation with more than 7 days before the departure time will result in a full refund.

Cancellation with less than 7 days before the departure time will result in a retention of the deposit, with a refund for the remaining amount.

Cancellation with less than 24 hours before the departure time or no show will result in a full charge.

 

Operator Cancellation:

In the event of trip cancellation by us for any reason, you will receive a full refund.

 

Specific for Large Groups and Private Tours

Payment Deadline:

Full payment is required until 48 hours before the departure time for large groups and private tours.

Rescheduling with Notice:

Rescheduling is free of charge with more than 48 hours' notice for large groups and private tours.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation with less than 48 hours' notice or a no-show will result in a full charge for large groups and private groups.

Departure and Reservation:

Passengers must arrive at the designated departure point at the specified departure time. Failure to do so may result in being considered a no-show, resulting in the loss of the reservation and associated charges.

Reservations are required for all guided tours and are valid for the specific date and time chosen.

 

Tour Changes:

We reserve the right to substitute any kayak without prior notice while ensuring the quality and safety of the tour.

We reserve the right to cancel any kayak tour without prior notice, and in such cases, passengers will be offered a refund or an option to reschedule.

 

Pricing and Currency Fluctuations:

Prices are subject to change due to currency fluctuations, taxes, or unforeseen cost increases beyond our control.

Tickets purchased prior to any price increase will not be affected by the change.

 

Guide/Instructor Authority:

The Guide/Instructor has the authority to terminate the tour at any time if they believe it cannot be continued for safety or other reasons.

 

Alcohol and Prohibited Items:

Passengers are prohibited from carrying any alcoholic beverages.

 

Liability and Responsibility:

Epic Volcanic, Lda, is not responsible for any injury to persons or damage to property arising from the kayak tours.

 

On the Kayak:

By signing the Statement of Responsibility, you assume full responsibility for your safety and well-being during the kayak tour.

It is mandatory to wear the provided life vests at all times during the tour and to follow the Guide/Instructor's directions for a safe and enjoyable experience.

Passengers must follow the Guide/Instructor’s instructions throughout the tour.

Pregnant Ladies:
Pregnant women should consult their healthcare provider before participating in any kayaking activity;
Kayaking is generally not recommended for pregnant women, especially during the later stages of pregnancy, due to the risk of injury and discomfort;
If a pregnant woman chooses to kayak, it should be in consultation with her healthcare provider and with their explicit approval;

Small Kids:
Children below 4 years old are not permitted to kayak;
Children should wear properly fitted life jackets at all times, while on the kayak or near water;
Children should be accompanied by a responsible adult while kayaking;

General Safety Guidelines:
All participants, regardless of age or health condition, should wear appropriate personal flotation devices (PFDs) at all times while on the water;
Participants should be adequately briefed on kayaking techniques, safety procedures, and emergency protocols before starting the activity, don't start the activity with questions;
Participants should inform the instructor or guide about any medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations they may have;

Health and Medical Considerations:
Participants with any pre-existing medical conditions (e.g., heart conditions, respiratory issues, mobility limitations) should consult their healthcare provider before kayaking;
Participants with recent surgeries or injuries should wait until they have fully recovered before engaging in kayaking activities;
It is advisable for participants to stay well-hydrated, wear anti-UV clothes and apply sunscreen to protect against sunburn during the activity;

Weather and Water Conditions:
Kayaking may be postponed or rescheduled if weather or water conditions are unsafe, including strong winds, thunderstorms, or rough waters;
Participants should follow the guidance of the instructors or guides regarding any changes or cancellations due to adverse weather or water conditions;
